I started practicing this type of yoga in 2015, shortly after quitting smoking. At the time, it seemed the only thing that would take away the nicotine cravings was that 90 minute class. Eventually though , I really fell in love with the teachers and community at Minneapolis Yoga, and that has been the real magnet that has kept me coming back.

I started teaching in 2018 and taught for a year in Pittsburgh, PA at the Yoga Factory. I loved the people out there at the Yoga Factory and the yogis, but after a year of teaching I decided it wasn’t for me and I stopped.

At the beginning of 2025 I came back to Minneapolis Yoga and started teaching again. I am lucky to be surrounded by these other teachers, they each are incredible people. The students inspire me just as much. They work so hard at taking care of themselves. I’m amazed. The practice of teaching has been a practice of working through the fear of being myself in front of people and relaxing into it. What a gift. I hope I never stop coming back to this place.
