I was introduced to Minneapolis Yoga shortly after I was done competing on the Women’s Rowing team at the University of Minnesota. Yoga and hot pilates classes helped me keep a little bit of structure in my life and stay active during that transition. Not only did I love the classes, I was inspired by how the teachers spoke to us. It felt like an environment where I could listen to my own body, but still have the group energy and support that I loved about being on a sports team. When the opportunity came up to do the instructor training, I decided I wanted to learn how to lead people through this practice. I love meeting people and hearing stories, so I’m grateful to have this opportunity to build community around movement.
